   嘴唇、舌頭與口腔腫脹 接觸後快速出現。 · In rare cases, swelling can extend to the pharynx (throat) or larynx (voice box). Severe swelling of the tongue or throat can potentially compromise the airway, though this is uncommon.

   呼吸困難（罕見） 快速（若喉頭水腫發生）。 · While rare, if the swelling of the tongue or glottis is significant, it can obstruct the upper airway. This requires immediate veterinary intervention to secure an airway.

   嘴巴、舌頭與嘴唇劇烈灼熱、疼痛與刺激 立即（咀嚼植物組織時就會疼痛）。 · The plant contains insoluble calcium oxalate crystals packaged in specialized cells (idioblasts) that forcefully eject into the tissue upon biting, causing micro-trauma. You may see the cat pawing at its mouth.

粗肋草／廣東萬年青 (Aglaonema spp.) 是受歡迎、好照顧的室內觀葉植物，葉片花紋很有觀賞性。和所有天南星科植物一樣，它含有不溶性草酸鈣結晶（針晶，raphides），這些針狀結構存在於葉片和莖的細胞中。當貓咬到植物任何部位時，結晶會被彈出並刺入口腔與喉嚨的柔軟組織，立即造成強烈疼痛。

• 症狀：立即口腔疼痛、劇烈流口水、用爪子抓嘴、嘴唇與舌頭腫脹、吞嚥困難；之後可能嘔吐。
• 發作很快：咀嚼後幾秒內就會痛；植物本身的防禦通常也會限制貓吃下的量。
• 處理方式：用清水輕柔沖洗貓的口腔。如果喉嚨腫脹、呼吸困難或持續嘔吐，請聯絡獸醫。
