重要提醒

黑絲絨海芋 (Alocasia reginula) 是醒目的室內植物，因深色絨面葉片與銀色葉脈而受喜愛。和所有海芋屬 (Alocasia) 及更廣泛的天南星科 (Araceae) 植物一樣，它含有不溶性草酸鈣晶體，也就是針晶體 (raphides)；這些顯微針狀結構分布在葉子、莖和根的特殊細胞中。貓咬下或咀嚼植物任何部位時，像細針一樣的結晶會立刻刺傷嘴巴和消化道裡柔軟的組織，造成立即強烈的疼痛，通常貓咪會因此停止繼續吃下去。

• 症狀：立即強烈口腔疼痛、過度流涎、用爪抓嘴、嘴唇、舌頭與喉嚨腫脹，以及吞嚥困難；如果吞下部分植物，可能接著嘔吐。
• 快速發作：咀嚼後數秒內即開始刺激；植物本身的防禦機制通常會限制攝入量。
• 處理方式：用水輕柔沖洗貓的口腔，協助沖掉晶體。如果出現喉嚨腫脹、持續嘔吐或呼吸困難，請聯絡獸醫。
