重要提醒

海芋 (Zantedeschia aethiopica) 常被叫作百合，但它其實是「假百合」，不會造成真百合（Lilium 屬與 Hemerocallis 屬）相關的急性腎衰竭，危險性也低得多。不過，海芋對貓仍然有毒。 和其他天南星科植物一樣，海芋的葉片、莖和佛焰苞都含有不溶性草酸鈣結晶（針晶，raphides）。貓咀嚼時，這些針狀結晶會立即刺入口腔與喉嚨的柔軟組織，造成機械性傷害。

• 症狀：立即出現口腔疼痛、劇烈流口水、用爪子抓嘴、嘴巴與喉嚨腫脹、吞嚥困難；之後可能嘔吐。
• 不是真百合：不同於 Lilium（復活節百合、虎斑百合）或 Hemerocallis（金針花／萱草）類植物，海芋不會傷害腎臟，危及生命的程度低得多。
• 處理方式：可用清水沖洗貓的口腔，幫助帶走結晶。如果腫脹明顯或症狀持續超過一小時，請聯絡獸醫。
