重要提醒

常見於熱帶景觀與室內觀賞的蘇鐵類植物，但對貓極度有毒。和所有蘇鐵類一樣，它含有蘇鐵素 (cycasin)，會被腸道細菌轉化成強效肝毒素，也含有神經毒性胺基酸 BMAA。全株有毒，種子濃度最高。即使吃下少量，也可能造成急性、危及生命的肝衰竭；即使立即治療，預後仍然不佳。
