重要提醒

孤挺花（Amaryllis）含有石蒜鹼（lycorine）和其他菲南啶類生物鹼，這些成分分布於整株植物，其中以球莖中的濃度最高。石蒜鹼會抑制細胞中的蛋白質合成，並引發強烈的胃腸道反應。這種植物常作為室內節慶禮物出現，因此貓咪可能會在飼主較容易疏忽的時期接觸到它。 注意：「Amaryllis（孤挺花／朱頂紅）」這個名稱常被混用。市面上販售的「Amaryllis」盆栽，多半其實是 Hippeastrum（孤挺花屬／朱頂紅屬）植物；但不論是市售的 Hippeastrum，還是真正的 Amaryllis 屬植物，對貓都有毒。

• 症狀： 流口水、嘔吐、腹瀉、腹痛、低血壓、顫抖和精神不振；嚴重時少數情況下可能出現癲癇發作。
• 球莖毒性最高： 球莖含有最高濃度的生物鹼。會挖盆土、啃咬球莖的貓咪風險最高。
• 季節性風險： 常作為冬季節慶植物販售；從它進入家中的那一刻起，就應完全放在貓咪碰不到的地方。
