重要提醒

丁香（Syzygium aromaticum）是常見的廚房香料，但對貓咪來說並不安全，尤其是丁香精油。丁香的主要風險來自丁香酚（eugenol），這是一種濃度很高、刺激性也很強的植物化學物質。 人類通常可以比較有效地分解這類成分，但貓咪的肝臟代謝能力較弱，特別不擅長處理丁香酚和類似的酚類化合物。因此，這些物質可能在貓咪體內累積，造成中毒，嚴重時甚至可能傷害肝臟。 丁香精油的風險比乾燥丁香更高，因為精油濃度非常集中，而且可能透過皮膚、口腔或鼻腔黏膜被吸收。即使只是少量接觸，也可能造成刺激或中毒風險。家中有貓時，應避免使用丁香精油，也不要讓貓咪舔食、咬食或長時間接觸丁香相關產品。

• 症狀：暴露後可能流口水、嘔吐、嗜睡、協調不良（共濟失調）與肌肉顫抖；較大量暴露可能出現肝損傷徵象（黃疸、食慾不振）；吸入可能造成呼吸窘迫。
• 精油遠比整顆丁香危險：濃縮丁香油只要幾滴就可能造成嚴重中毒。整顆丁香或丁香粉少量風險較低，但仍不是安全食材。
• 處理方式：若貓暴露於丁香精油，不論是皮膚接觸、攝入或擴香吸入，都請立即尋求獸醫照護。肝損傷可能快速進展。
