   口腔、舌頭、咽喉與上呼吸道腫脹，導致呼吸困難 攝入後迅速發生 · While Philodendron ingestion is rarely fatal, a severe inflammatory response to the crystals can cause the tissues in the throat to swell significantly.

   立即性的口腔疼痛、強烈灼熱感、紅斑 立即 · This is caused by the mechanical action of chewing the plant, which ruptures specialized cells and forcefully ejects needle-like insoluble calcium oxalate crystals (raphides) into the cat's tissues. The immediate and intense pain often limits the amount of the plant the cat is willing to consume.

   過度流口水（流涎） 立即 · This is a direct physiological response to the sharp calcium oxalate crystals piercing and irritating the mucous membranes of the mouth and throat.

   嘔吐、腹瀉、吞嚥困難（Dysphagia）及食慾不振（Anorexia） 攝入後不久 · The reluctance to eat and difficulty swallowing are primarily secondary to the extreme discomfort, pain, and swelling in the gastrointestinal tract rather than systemic nausea.

重要提醒

蔓綠絨（Philodendron spp.），包括很受歡迎的「鉑金蔓綠絨」和心葉蔓綠絨，是常見但對貓咪有毒的室內植物。它的葉子和莖部含有微小、針狀的不可溶性草酸鈣結晶（insoluble calcium oxalate crystals），會引起刺激。 當貓咪咬下植物時，這些尖銳的結晶會刺進口腔和喉嚨的組織，造成立即且強烈的疼痛與灼熱感。貓咪可能會大量流口水、用爪子抓嘴巴、嘔吐，或是吞嚥困難。 在嚴重的情況下，口腔和喉嚨的腫脹可能會讓貓咪呼吸困難。因為所有品種的蔓綠絨都一樣危險，最好把它們放在貓咪絕對碰不到的地方。如果貓咪誤食這種植物，並出現喉嚨腫脹或呼吸困難的跡象，請立即聯絡獸醫或急診動物醫院。
