重要提醒

龜背芋（Monstera deliciosa 或 M. adansonii）是常見的室內植物，但對貓具有毒性。它含有微小、針狀的「不溶性草酸鈣結晶」。這些結晶與其說是化學毒藥，不如說更像是微小的玻璃碎片。 當貓咬下葉子或莖時，這些尖銳的結晶會刺入口腔和喉嚨的黏膜，立即引起強烈的灼熱感和疼痛。正因為咬下去會立刻感到劇痛，大多數貓在吞下危險分量前就會停止啃咬。然而，隨之而來的腫脹有時會讓貓難以吞嚥或呼吸。 咬過龜背芋的貓通常會大量流口水、用爪子抓嘴巴，也可能出現嘴唇或舌頭腫脹。你可以嘗試用水沖洗牠的口腔，但如果貓出現呼吸困難或腫脹嚴重，請立即聯絡獸醫或急診動物醫院。

• 有毒化合物：不溶性草酸鈣結晶；汁液中的蛋白分解酶會加劇反應
• 機制：當植物組織受損時，結晶會強力噴射到口腔和喉嚨黏膜中，造成機械性灼傷和腫脹
• 症狀：突發性口腔疼痛、劇烈流口水、用爪子撥弄嘴巴、吞嚥困難 (dysphagia)、嘴唇和舌頭腫脹、嘔吐
• 嚴重的喉嚨腫脹可能會阻礙呼吸 —— 在這種情況下請立即尋求獸醫治療
• 用水沖洗口腔；如果吞嚥受阻或症狀沒有迅速消退，請聯繫獸醫
