龍血樹屬（Dracaena spp.）是一大類常見的室內觀葉植物，包括龍血樹（Dracaena marginata）、巴西鐵樹／Corn Plant（D. fragrans），以及虎尾蘭（D. trifasciata）等。這些植物雖然好照顧、很常見，但對貓並不安全，不建議放在貓能啃咬的地方。 主要危險來自葉片和莖中的類固醇皂苷。這是一種植物天然成分，可能刺激貓的腸胃，也可能影響細胞表面的穩定性。貓吃下後，身體可能出現消化道不適；有些龍血樹屬植物造成的中毒反應，也可能伴隨瞳孔放大、走路不穩等神經相關症狀。 貓誤食龍血樹屬植物後，可能出現流口水、嘔吐、腹瀉、食慾下降、精神變差等症狀，有些貓還可能出現瞳孔放大或動作不協調。葉片和莖是常見的誤食來源，植物汁液也應避免接觸。家中有貓時，建議避免擺放龍血樹屬植物，或放在貓完全碰不到的位置；如果發現貓咬過葉片或出現不適，請盡快聯絡獸醫。
