秋水仙
Colchicum autumnale
又稱： 秋番紅花 (Autumn Crocus)
秋水仙 (Colchicum autumnale) 是貓可能接觸到的最危險植物之一，不應與毒性低得多、春天開花的番紅花 (Crocus spp.) 混淆。秋水仙含有秋水仙鹼 (colchicine)，這是一種強效生物鹼，會阻止微管形成並停止細胞分裂，特別攻擊身體中分裂最快的細胞，包括腸道內壁、骨髓與腎臟。重要的是，症狀可能在攝入後延遲 2–12 小時才出現；即使貓看起來還正常，也需要及早就醫。
重要提醒
症狀：嚴重嘔吐、血便性腹瀉、口腔與喉嚨灼痛；數小時後可能出現骨髓抑制（貧血、白血球下降）、腎衰竭與呼吸衰竭。
全株都可能致命：球莖（球根狀莖）毒性最高，但花、葉和種子也含有危險濃度的秋水仙鹼。
處理方式：這是危及生命的急症。請立刻帶貓去看獸醫，不要等待症狀出現。
